Meet Our Stylists

Enhance the shape of your eyebrows with semi-permanent Microblading.

Performed by Victoria only.

  • What is Microblading?

Microblading is a manual method used to deposit small amounts of pigment in the superficial layer of the skin. It is considered to be a semi-permanent tattoo.

  • How long does it last?

1-3 years depending on lifestyle, age, skin type and sun exposure.

  • How often do I need a touch up?

Touch ups are recommended every six months to a year to keep the color fresh and the strokes crisp.

  • Does it hurt?

A topical anesthetic is used to numb the area before and during the service. Most are surprised on how little they feel but others say there is some discomfort associated with the procedure.

  • What should I do to prepare
    for my procedure?

If you use the following; Benzoyl Peroxide, Salicylic acid, Retin-A’s, any bleaching or acne medication. Stop using two weeks before procedure. Botox should be done 6 weeks prior if used around or near the forehead. Leaving your eyebrows alone for a week (no tweezing, waxing or otherwise removing the hair) is preferred.

  • What should I do after
    the procedure?

Other than make sure your skin is maintained clean and moist with Vaseline or Aquaphor, not much. You can still wash your hair and face right away. First 24 hours no sweating or otherwise getting the area wet. First 72 hours no swimming. First 10 days no tanning or prolonged sun exposure. NEVER pick, peel or scratch the tattoo. Once they’re healed up, you treat them as your own. An aftercare sheet will be given to you after the treatment is complete.

  • How long does it take?

The procedure takes roughly about two hours, sometimes more sometimes less. Please allow a solid two and a half hour window for your appointment. We likely won’t need that much time, but this isn’t something we want to rush.

  • Do I need to take a day off work?

No. There’s no downtime associated with the treatment. Redness and swelling will dissipate within an hour after. Your brows will appear darker initially, but not so dark that you will be prevented from your activities of daily living.

  • How long does it take to heal?

Healing time varies from individual to individual. Usually, it takes about a week to ten days for the epithelial crust to form and slough off. Your skin will be considered healed after that happens. Then, the pigment takes some time to settle into the skin. 4-8 weeks should pass before we consider the process complete and touchups are allowed.

  • What’s the process like?

Microblading is a two step treatment, consisting of an initial procedure and then a touch up four to eight weeks after. First a topical anesthetic will be applied to ensure comfort. Once you’re numb, we take your before photo, shape your eyebrows and decide on the color. After you love the shape and color we begin. The actual tattooing only takes 30-45 minutes.

During healing, it’s normal to experience some pigment loss; this is why we have the touch up in place. The process is considered to be complete 4 weeks after the first touch up.

  • What kind of pigments are used?

SofTap® is the trademark for SofTap® Inc., the most natural look in permanent cosmetics. For over 20 years, they have been supplying the highest quality patented cosmetic pigments and micropigmentation needles to professionals in the permanent makeup industry.

SofTap® was founded in 1988 by Alexis and Mike Lawson, who today continue to own and operate in Livermore, California. Their vision of providing the best products for permanent beauty drives innovation and artistry all over the world.

  • Can you guarantee your work?

No. I can guarantee that your face is important to me and that I will act in accordance with my experience and expertise to give you my absolute best. I can guarantee that I will strive to make you gratified and content every time. But there are no guarantees in this industry. Please think long and hard before you decide to go for it. This is a very big deal and should be treated as such.

  • How do you choose the shape?

We choose a shape and style together. At the beginning of the procedure we will draw in a suggested shape for your new brows and then we work together to perfect this to your preference. Measurements are taken to check symmetry and placement.

  • Can I have my brows microbladed if
    I'm pregnant?

No you cannot have this treatment done if you are pregnant or breastfeeding.

  • What will they look like
    immediately after the procedure?

Your brows may be a little swollen, red and sometimes blanched (white). This is all very normal. They will be considerably darker for the first week before they begin to fade out to a softer color.

  • Will they fade?

Your body’s skin changes over time and so will any permanent makeup coloration implanted in to the skins layers.  However, this natural fading process takes years and touch ups are easily done as your colors fade over time.

  • Will my Microbladed Eyebrows
    look fake?

NO! Semi-Permanent makeup is done using a cosmetic tattooing process and our eyebrow pigmentation unique artistry guarantees soft, natural looking eyebrows. When we implant semi-permanent makeup pigment in the skin, it appears more natural looking than even topically applied cosmetics.

  • What if I don’t like it?

Although the procedure is considered semi-permanent, these procedures do have flexibility in changing color and shape to some extent.  Colors will appear much darker immediately following the procedure but will often soften and lighten during the healing process.  The healing time is different for each individual and remember it takes time to adjust to a new look!

  • Are there any side effects during or after the procedure?

During the procedure there may be some minor bleeding.  This will depend on the client.  If a person is taking blood thinners on a daily basis, then some slight bleeding may occur.  Bruising is rare but if a person is on blood thinners, then bruising could occur.  There is usually some tenderness for a few days.  The color is much darker than you may expect for the first six to ten days.

  • Will SV Spray Tans Make Me Turn Orange?

In short, no! Spray tanning has come a long way since its introduction. Traditional self tanners relied solely on DHA to create a temporary “tan.” Recently, many self tanners starting including Erythrulose, a similar type ingredient that delivers a more golden colorr to the skin, whereas DHA tends to be more red/orange. The use of these two self tanning ingredients together and with the right balance allows for a more golden-brown hue and  a more natural looking “tan”.

  • How Do I Prepare For My Airbrush Spray Tan?

Exfoliate, Exfoliate, Exfoliate! You want a fresh set of skin cells for a more even, long lasting tan. Arrive showered, shaven, free of make-up, perfume, oil, body sprays, deodorant and moisturizer for optimal results. Bring loose, dark fitting clothing for after your session.

  • Should I Moisturize Before The Session?

You should use a moisturizer regularly to keep your skin hydrated and healthy, which will contribute to a more even, natural looking spray tan. However, it is recommended NOT to apply moisturizers 2 hours prior to self tanning and 4 to 6 hours after.

  • What Should I Wear While Getting a SV
    Airbrush Spray Tan?

We at Salon Vie want you to feel as comfortable in your own skin as possible. Wear as little, nothing or as much as you would like. Just keep in mind that tan lines will occur.

  • Why Is Keeping Skin Moisturized Essential

    to Maintain Great Results?

It is important to keep skin moisturized after your airbrush spray tan session. Dry, flaky skin will slough off faster and color will fade sooner. Color fading is inevitable but you want it to happen evenly and naturally so moisturize daily.

  • How Long Should I Wait After to Shower?

It is best to wait at least 6-8 hours after the spray tan application before you shower to give the DHA time to fully react with skin proteins.

  • Can I Work Out After An Airbrush Spray Tan?

It is best to wait about 6 hours after your airbrush spray tan before partaking in any strenuous activities that may cause perspiration. This will give the DHA time to fully react with skin proteins as well as prevent streaking that could result from excessive perspiration.

  • How Many Days Will An Airbrush Spray Tan Last?

The longevity of an airbrush spray tan depends on the skin’s natural exfoliation process, and on the skin regimen followed before and after application. On average, a sunless tan will last 4-7 days. The “life span” of an airbrush spray tan also depends on your skin’s natural exfoliation. The faster your skin regenerates, the faster the sunless tan will fade. The tan created by the DHA and Erythrulose affects only the top layer of the skin and will begin to fade after 4 to 5 days as the skin naturally begins to exfoliate.

  • Will The Solution From The Airbrush Spray Tan
    Rub On My Clothes?

Some of the bronze “cosmetic tint” color may rub off on clothing or bed sheets. This is most likely to happen when you get dressed immediately after tanning. To minimize the chance of the tint transferring to clothing, we recommend that you wear loose-fitting, darker clothes after your Sunless session. The Cosmetic tint is water-soluble. Therefore, in most cases, the color will come out of clothing in the wash.

  • Why Do I Need to Wear Sunscreen if I Have an Airbrush Spray Tan?

Although you may feel and look like you a real tan, a sunless tan is only the temporary appearance of a tan and therefore provides your skin with no real sunburn protection. It is absolutely necessary you wear a sunscreen when outdoors to protect your skin from burning.
